During your initial ClearCorrect consult, they’ll assess your suitability for orthodontic treatment and answer all questions that you may have about ClearCorrect.
ClearCorrect Process
1. ClearCorrect Consultation
During the initial ClearCorrect consultation, your dentist will analyse your current oral & dental condition and assess your suitability for ClearCorrect clear aligner treatment. During this assessment, your dentist will also inform you of alternative options to ClearCorrect treatment and highlight any existing oral health issues that may need to be addressed before starting any orthodontic procedures.
After you’ve been deemed a suitable candidate for ClearCorrect treatment, the process begins with you taking:
- 3D intraoral scan of your existing smile
- X-rays of your teeth and jaw
- Photos of your face, smile and teeth
This information will then be uploaded into the ClearCorrect ClearPilot software for processing, creating a treatment plan that’s fully customised for you. Your dentists will work closely with the ClearCorrect team to fabricate a treatment plan that’s best suited to meet your needs and address your smile concerns.
2. Treatment Approval Appointment
After your dentist has finalised a proposed treatment plan for your case, you’ll be scheduled for a follow-up treatment approval appointment to discuss the proposed treatment plan. During this visit, your dentist will thoroughly run through the necessary steps required with your treatment plan, such as extractions, interproximal reduction and attachments.
Patients are encouraged to ask questions and raise any underlying concerns regarding the treatment plan at this stage as changes can still be made to the treatment plan at this point, prior to the confirmation of the treatment plan and before the aligners are fabricated.
Once the treatment plan has been confirmed, the aligners will be approved for fabrication.
3. Aligner Fabrication
ClearCorrect aligners are manufactured in a facility in Brazil, where the aligners are thoroughly inspected for defects before being shipping over to our clinic in Singapore. The time it takes for the aligners to reach our clinic after the confirmation of the treatment plan is generally estimated to be about 2 – 3 weeks.
Once we receive the aligners, you’ll be scheduled for your next appointment where we’ll have the aligners fitted and proceed with any interproximal reduction and/or attachments based on your treatment plan.
4. Aligner Fitting, IPR & Attachments
During this visit, your dentist will proceed to prepare your teeth for clear aligner treatment by minimally shaving your teeth through the use of a special IPR (interproximal reduction) file and place attachments on your teeth to help guide the direction of force when you have your aligners in accordance with your treatment plan.
After your teeth have been prepared, your dentist will then proceed to fit the first set of aligners onto your teeth. Once this has been done, we’ll issue you off the first 6 sets of aligners along with instruction for proper wear, care and removal till the next review in about 6 – 8 weeks time.
5. The ClearCorrect Journey
You’ll need to wear your aligners for 22 hours every day, and only remove them to brush, floss, or eat.
You’ll change your aligners once every 10 days and visit your dentist for physical reviews once every 6 – 8 weeks.
During these check-up appointments, your dentist will monitor your progress and address any potential oral health issues.
The entire treatment can take a year or up to 2 years for complex cases.
6. Finishing Treatment
At the end of your ClearCorrect treatment, you’ll be able to show the world your brand new & straighter smile.
You’ll need to wear retainers to hold your teeth in place. After finishing any form of orthodontic treatment, patients will typically need to wear a set of retainers to prevent relapse and allow the roots of teeth to properly fuse to the jawbone, locking them into place, permanently.
Patients are recommended to use their retainers every day for one year after completing their treatment to facilitate and expedite the fusing process. After one year, patients only need to wear their retainers at night when they sleep.

At NoFrills Dental, we pride ourselves on providing patients with high-quality dental care at affordable prices. The cost of ClearCorrect treatment at NoFrills Dental ranges from $1,500 – $6,000+ (before GST), depending on the complexity of the case.
When our patients come in for an initial ClearCorrect consultation, a ‘one-time’ fee of $50 ( waived if the patient decides to proceed with treatment ) will be charged for an oral health + suitability analysis and a 3D intraoral scan of the patient’s teeth.
At this stage, no other fees will be collected until the patient decides to proceed with treatment.
